The Children's Home was at a buzz this week as Benjamin Markoff and Rebecca Zagha, former counselors at our Volunteer Program and dear friends, arrived at the Children's Home along with their friends to conduct the first ever Bet Elazraki Olympics!
Plenty of thought and planning went into this event, beginning back in the States, where Benjamin & Rebecca recruited a number of friends who felt a connection to their intiative for the children, and generously helped to sponsor the event. Our heartfelt gratitude is extended to all of them, for making it all come true.
Benjamin, Rebecca and their friends arrived full of energy, smiles and surprises. The children were divided into teams and recieved t-shirts and bandanas, each team with it's own color. Excitement was felt everywhere... when the children were told what was planned for the next 3 days, roaring and applaud bounced of the walls for quite some time!
And so, Bet Elazraki's first Olympics began. Three days full with dozens of sport competitions, group challenges, thinking games, theme songs, races and plenty of good times... and of course it was a prize-winning competition as well!
But the real prize however, was the great gift that Benjamin & Rebecca have given sll of us. Three days of fun & laughter, of experiences shared together, and a great deal of energy and beaming smiles. We are so grateful for everything you have done for us.

Divided into groups...
And the fun begins!
Rebecca, Benjamin, thank you for an amazing 3 days!! We are so lucky to have you in our lives...!!
