Around the World During Summertime!

During summer vacation, our children enjoyed a variety of activities and fun days. We were able to add to the list of activities something that was both fun and educational – a worldwide Pick-A-Country project!
In this project every group chose one country to focus on. The program included extensive learning of the geographical, domestic and cultural characteristics of those countries.
This week, as the project came to an end, all the groups prepared to present the country on which they focused on, in unique and original ways.

Among the countries that were presented were Spain, China, Brazil, The United States, Morocco and of course Israel…
Each group proved to be incredibly talented and creative!
And so, as the show went on the children of Bet Elazraki enjoyed live Capuera dancing, professional Brazilian soccer playing, Bet Elazraki's first ever human pyramid, a Bamba eating contest using chopsticks only, and a real Moroccan "Hafla" (celebration), with traditional Moroccan dishes and an authentic "Hena Ceremony"!
Presenting the countries was done by one of our counselors who "flew" everyone around the world, accompanied with music and descriptions of the weather at the next destination…
It was hot, it was cold, but mostly it was very much fun!!
