Our Graduation Celebration!

Be-Sha'a Tova!

We have recently celebrated with great joy the Graduation Celebration for our 6 newest graduates who will all soon be joining the army, beginning their independent lives. Avi, Oshri, Natalie, Jojo, Yisrael & Barak, all arrived to the Children's Home at a tender age, confused, worried and full of concerns. We were always there for them as the years went by: we hugged, cheered, educated, supported, listened, laughed & cried with them, countless times. We have come a long way together. There was no one prouder than us on that big day, as we observed our grown children: 18 years of age, proud and successful, and naturally – a bit worried too…

All the children & staff participated in the event – blessing our graduates as they embark on a new path of life, preparing wonderful performances to honor them. With the help of many good friends, each graduate received a grand backpack full of wonderful gifts. It was all very moving, and most of us could not hold back the tears as we understood that another chapter has come to an end… And a new one begins.

We are looking forward to sending them packages full of goods to their army bases, and further down the road, to helping them with tuition, rent and whatever may come their way. For us this is the only way, the most natural way, as these are our children. To us they will turn for support, and we will be there to provide it as much as we possibly can. That is how we implement our vision of breaking the cycle of distress.

And now the real challenge begins… our graduates are setting off into the big world, heading towards a new beginning. We wish each and every one of you – from the bottom of our hearts – the best of luck & success!
Can't wait to see you returning Home in your uniforms…
We are so proud of you.

Love,
Yehuda, Riki, the staff and all the children of Bet Elazraki.
